ABOUT THE LAST CHANCE MUSTANGS AND SPECIALTY FORDS CLUB After several years of being members of the Great Falls Treasure State Mustang Club and with the encouragement of Helena area Ford car enthusiasts, Buzz Rose and Mike Kelly started Helena's Last Chance Mustang and Specialty Ford Club and joined the International Club in 1988. The club's first President was Mike Kelly, while Buzz Rose was and is still the Treasurer. LCM&SF Club current President is Scott Read. In 1993 LCM&SF Club hosted the 14th International Mustang Meet. LCM&SF also hosts the annual Mustangs and Muscle Car Roundup Memorial Day weekend. LCMSF participates with the Preservation Society (made up of all of Helenas car clubs). This group started the Millennium Car show which is held every summer as a fundraiser for the Montana Hope Project. Wednesday nights, you can see and meet with some the Last Chance Cruising Association at the Burger King near Wal-Mart. We cruise to a destination and enjoy a meal, drinks, and conversation. Some cruisers have become addicted to and can be found supporting Dairy Queen where the several car enthusiasts meet after the cruise to continue discussions, further bond, and enjoy some dessert. The official schedule for the Wednesday night cruise is April through August. However, some diehards have been seen in their daily drivers during the winter to avoid going into car talk and Dairy Queen withdrawals.
